Garbage, recycling and composting pickup schedule
When you submit a 311 request, it is routed through a centralized system and assigned to the appropriate City department for review and action. As departments assess requests, they may create internal work orders, add notes, or close the 311 ticket once it has been transferred into their operational systems.
A closed 311 ticket does not always mean the issue has been resolved. In many cases, it indicates that the request has been reviewed and forwarded for action. Due to the volume of requests received across Calgary, City departments are often unable to provide individual follow-up updates on every submission.
Residents are encouraged to keep their reference number and submit a follow-up 311 request if additional information or updates are required.
