Bridgeland-Riverside

A vibrant inner-city community where historic character, local businesses, green spaces, and an active neighbourhood culture come together just minutes from downtown.

Bridgeland-Riverside is one of Calgary’s most established inner-city communities, with a rich history shaped by generations of residents and newcomers. Overlooking the Bow River and downtown, the neighbourhood blends historic homes and landmarks with newer residential development, creating a distinctive mix of old and new.
Walkable streets connect residents to local shops, restaurants, cafés, parks, schools, and community spaces. Murdoch Park serves as an important neighbourhood gathering place, while nearby pathways and green spaces provide easy connections to the Bow River pathway system and destinations throughout the inner city.

The Bridgeland-Riverside Community Association is at the heart of community life, supporting everything from the farmers market and recreation to wellness programs, community events, heritage initiatives, beautification, and neighbourhood projects.

With convenient access to downtown, transit, cycling and walking routes, Bridgeland-Riverside combines the energy of inner-city living with a close-knit community atmosphere and a strong sense of local identity.

Through advocacy, beautification, events, and community improvements, the BIA helps support a vibrant and welcoming main street experience for residents, businesses, and visitors. >> BIA Website
